Chandris Hotels is a privately held Greek Hotel Chain, owning and managing three hotels, with a total of 1,500 beds, in three strategic destinations. Chandris’ tradition in hospitality started with the Chios Chandris Hotel, which was built in 1972. The Metropolitan Hotel was built in Athens in 1977 and in 2009, a brand new five star property, The Met Hotel, has been added to the hotel chain launching so an avant-garde hospitality concept in the city of Thessaloniki.

We respect the environment in every way and are always looking for areas to reduce our impact. Chandris Hotels is member of the International Hotels’ Environment Initiative, which is an association of the principal hotel chains from all over the world.
Our hotels have devised strategies to reduce waste products, store them in safety and to recycle as many materials as possible. Our guests are informed of this initiative by a special leaflet placed in every room of the chain, as we believe that our clients will value and recognize these efforts as environmentally valuable.
All properties are being evaluated with the Green Key on a yearly basis. In Chandris properties we support the Clean Hands NGO with recycling used soaps for charity.
Specific attention has been paid and funds invested in fire precautionary measures such as smoke detectors and sprinklers in the bedrooms and public areas in all properties whereas evacuation and fire drills are carried out on a regular basis. Additionally, regular checks are carried out in all hotels on the quality and safety of water. The Chandris hotels have professional lifeguards on duty in all swimming pools and the beach according to regulations.
Concerning food safety an ISO 22000:2005 management system is being implemented in our properties so as to prevent any food related hazards.
