Your Metropolitan Athens Experience

The Metropolitan Hotel is situated, in front of the Olympic coastal Park, opposite the ‘Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center’ (to be completed by the end of 2016) and the Eugenides Foundation with the impressive digital Planetarium, in the area of Paleo Faliro.

The hotel is ideally situated in Syngrou Avenue, one of the city’s main Avenues, were guests can quickly and easily visit Athens’ city centre as well as the port of Piraeus where cruise ships depart for the islands. In the capital’s centre one may visit the country’s Parliament, Syntagma Square, the National Gardens, the new Acropolis Museum, the Literature and Arts Foundation and the traditional picturesque neighborhood of Plaka at the foot of the Acropolis.

At close distance and within easy reach visitors can attend football matches at the George Karaiskakis Stadium, or basketball games and concerts at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, they can walk to the Park of Maritime Tradition, where the battleship Averof and the old educational sailboat Eugenios Eugenides are moored.

Furthermore, hotel guests can visit the attractive marina of Flisvos for shopping or watching latest films at the Village cinemas, can plan daily cruises to the islands of the Saronic Gulf, can play golf at the 18-hole golf course located in the nearby area of Glyfada or go jogging in the Stavros Niarchos Park across the street.

In recent years the area of Paleo Faliro has been attractively developed. A variety of major shipping and trading companies have moved to the area and large hospitals such as the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center, the Maternity Hospital REA, the Metropolitan Hospital and Medical Center are in close proximity of the hotel.
