The unfailing striving for excellence expressed by Chandris Hotels does not confine itself to the operation and appearance of its hotels but extends also to its personnel's ability to provide a high standard of service. To this purpose, special emphasis is placed on the company's human factor, personnel, work relations, communication, organisational planning, maximization of human potential, level of performance, continuous productivity updating, recruitment and work evaluation.


We emphasize training: 255 employees attended theoretical and practical programmes during a total of 121.000 training hours last year. 1997 was the milestone as far as "Quality" is concerned since the Metropolitan Hotel was certified according to the International standard ISO 9002. Concerning food safety a HACCP system is implemented at the Metropolitan so as to prevent any food related hazards , while the kitchen design and infrastructure in the Corfu Chandris hotel has been totally renovated and complies with the relevant 93/43 E.C. directive.


For our staff this certificate is not an end in itself, it is just the beginning of our efforts to raise our services to even higher standards in such a way as to satisfy the every need of our customers. Furthermore, some employees attend further seminars privately or are trained at the company's expense in foreign languages such as Russian and German while Chefs and other employees of the Food and Beverage Department are sent abroad to enrich their knowledge and to acquire experience.
